YUGAGRO Exhibition: Successfully Bringing Agribusiness Expertise

Adritec concluded a four-day representation at the 22ndInternational Agricultural Exhibition “YUGAGRO” that was held in Krasnodar; the leading agricultural city in Russia.  

IMG_6207With its 33 years of experience in irrigation systems, Adritec shared its expertise on both the national and international levels. Operating in Jordan, the second poorest country in water resources, Adritecs dripline irrigation systems have contributed to efficient water use, sustainable agriculture and food security in the kingdom of Jordan. On an international level, Adritec has been present in the Russian market as well as its neighboring countries for the last four years providing support with its innovative solutions and its variety of products to farmers. Its expertise and irrigation solutions, now and more than ever, is proving to be of high value to the Russian market in the wake of applying the latest food sanctions.

The fair that was held on the 24th-27th of November, 2015 offered an opportunity to discuss Russian import substitution since 60% of food in big cities like Moscow is imported according to BBC’s Steve Rosenberg. The fair also presented an opportunity to discuss the state of theDSC_0795federation’s economy and food security for the last year, exploring alternative markets and suppliers presented to Russian agrarians in addition to developing new, cost-effective models for the agribusiness.

In this respect, Mr Alexander N. Tkachev; Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation stated that the YugAgro International exhibition is one of the contributors to the development of agriculture as it offers a stage for manufacturers to showcase current technologies and innovative developments. He added that farmers have the chance to engage in meaningful conversations with domestic and foreign counterparts reinforcing mutually fruitful cooperation.

DSC_0797He also stressed the need “to find ways to create prerequisites that ensure profitability of agribusiness in all sectors of agriculture”, adding that “finding a solution will require effective interaction of all specialists involved in agriculture” which is the aim of YugAgro. The exhibition brings agribusiness leaders every year who provide invaluable assistance to local farmers in selection of advanced machinery, equipment and the technology they need to develop their farms and make profit, he stated.

With close to 600 companies from 30 countries, the exhibition offered a solid foundation for new business contacts and reinforcement of current partnerships, cementing in particular, the Russian- Jordanian trade and economic cooperation.
