YUGAGRO International Agricultural Fair: Breakthrough Agricultural Technology

November 28 to December 1, 2017, Expograd Yug exhibition and congress center (Krasnodar) will host YUGAGRO, 24th International exhibition of agricultural machinery, equipment and materials for crop production. The fair is organized by KrasnodarEXPO, part of the ITE group of companies.
According to the Russian National Exhibitions Rating of 2014-2015, YUGAGRO is the largest agricultural exhibition in the country. The fair shows the whole range of products and machines needed to make crop production efficient. Also, here you can find equipment and lines to turn the produce into finished products. Every year, over 15,000 managers and specialists from farms large and small from all over Russia come to YUGAGRO to choose agricultural machinery, equipment and materials that help them achieve their business goals.   

This year, the exhibition gathers 676 companies from 32 countries  and covers 65,000 square meters. All 4 pavilions and 3 outdoor fairgrounds of Expograd Yug will be occupied with booths and stands and machines brought by the exhibitors.

Russian manufacturers and suppliers of agricultural machinery, spare parts, equipment for processing agricultural products are extremely active about the event, which deserves a special note. Foreign companies follow suite and also take active part in the fair. The wide selection of Russian and foreign products, machines, equipment showcased at YUGAGRO translates into high-quality competition, which means visitors have the opportunity to compare and choose the best," says Elena Telnova, director of the Krasnodar branch of IT Expo.

Exhibition sections

YUGAGRO features a number of sections showcasing particular types of products and machinery. Visitors should expect hundreds of presentations, unveilings and special offers from manufacturers and suppliers.

"Agricultural machinery. Spare parts" is one of the largest sections to YUGAGRO. Over 250 companies have brought their products to this one. Grain and forage harvesters, tractors, reapers, swaths, soil cultivation and fertilizer equipment, trailed vehicles and components -- these are just some machines the visitors will see there.

Over 150 companies showcase their produce in "Agrochemical products" and "Planting stock and seeds" sections. Among other products, exhibitors brought microfertilizers, grain crops seeds, leguminous and vegetable crops seeds (imported and domestic varieties), plant protection products and integrated programs, agrochemicals, orchard protection preparations, seeds of hybrid varieties of grain, oil and fodder crops and much more.

This year, the number of exhibitors filling the "Equipment for agricultural products storage and processing" section increased by 30% and equaled 150 companies. Stands and booths of this section offer grain separators, seed coating equipment, oil presses, fruits and vegetables processing lines, mills and elevator equipment, lines and machines for feed mills and much more.

Section "Irrigation equipment" now counts over 60 companies, and the "Hothouse equipment" section attracted more than 50 exhibitors. There, the visitors will see  drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, drum and wide-coverage sprinklers. Among the products designed for protected ground, there are greenhouse films, plants illumination systems, heating and irrigation equipment for greenhouses, large-scale greenhouse designs and those of tunnel film-covered hothouses.

Business program

YUGAGRO's business program includes 35 events, which total up to almost 70 hours. They are conferences, round tables, seminars and presentations covering various branches of agriculture. The events are interesting to managers and specialists of large and smaller farms, food factories.

The central event of the business program is the plenary session "Export potential of the Russian agriculture: opportunities and risks", which takes place on November 28. The list of speakers includes Yevgeny Gromyko, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation; Andrei Korobka, Deputy Governor of the Krasnodar Region; Konstantin Savenkov, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor; Alexander Trubilin, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Region and Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Agribusiness and Food Production; Arkady Zlochevsky, President of the Russian Grain Union; Sergei Rubanov, Director General of Yug Rusi oil crushing plant; Nikita Gusakov, managing director for customer relations with Russian Exports Center and other experts.
Participants of the plenary session will discuss basic exported goods (cereals, sugar, butter and oilcakes) and promising export opportunities, including export of finished processed, which is a priority.

Vegetable and fruit production in the country, state support of the branch, including seed farming and nurseries development, will be discussed at the "State, problems and development prospects of vegetable growing and gardening industry in Russia" conference to take place on November 28. The event is organized by the National Horticultural Union.
Participants of this conference will discuss the most topical issues that affect competitiveness of domestic fruit and vegetables, as well as concessional lending mechanisms and ways to optimize production, agricultural cooperation and promising fruit and vegetable farming developments.

Round table "Cooperation issues between greenhouse manufacturers and network retailers" to be held on November 29 covers sales of produce grown in hothouses. Representatives of retail chains, heads of greenhouse farms and bankers will discuss cooperation issues, ways to increase mutual trust, effective domestic products promotion plans. Some of the topics for discussion deal with prediction of supply volumes and pricing when selling greenhouse-grown products to retail chains; problems encountered at acceptance and assessment of quality of greenhouse-grown, etc. This event is organized by the Krasnodar Regional Agricultural Association "Greenhouses of Kuban."

Conference "Actual issues and novelties of modern nut growing technologies" takes place on November 30. The event covers one of the least developed, and thus offering the greatest opportunities, branches of horticulture. The list of speakers here includes: Nikolay Kiktenko, head of Gospodarul Rediu (Republic of Moldova); Dmitry Potanin, associate professor of the Department of Fruit Growing and Viticulture of Vernandsky Academy of Bioresources and Nature Management, Crimean Federal University (city of Simferopol) and others.

Getting to the exhibition

There are three additional parking spaces allocated for visitors of YUGAGRO: one on the territory of Expograd Yug, another on the territory of Krasnaya Ploshchad megacenter, and yet another on the grounds of Magnit hypermarket at ul. Pokryshkina, 3. Free shuttles run to and from those parking lots.
